Company Profile and Services

United Country® Real Estate--The Country Connection is owned and operated by Clark
Scarborough, Broker, and Linda Scarborough, Marketing, Web & Publication Design. Clark
and Linda both work in the Canton office. 

nother member of the Realtor Associate staff is Jason Spence, who is working out of the Canton
office, but actually operates his business from anywhere his truck takes him.  In addition to being
a Realtor, he works for the Texas Animal Health Commission and travels around to Sale Barns and
Ranches.  He makes sure the animals being sold are healthy and the the facilities are clean and
safe for the Ranchers and their animals.

Our Henderson County franchise is in Athens and our 1st Associate in that office was Charlie
Smith, Broker Associate, and former owner of the United Country franchise for Athens.  The Broker,
Clark Scarborough, splits his time between the two offices.  Other associates in our Athens office
include Melody Belcher, Primary agent and her husband Alan, who assists her in the business.

The company was incorporated in 1985 when we began to look for land for ourselves in East Texas. 
We found that you could only see one or two properties in a day of looking and that many properties
were not as suitable as they appeared on paper.  In 1996 we found the property of our dreams in
Van Zandt County.  We would like to do the same for you.   With the United Country® Franchise,
we have added more tools to help meet the needs of investors, as well as residential and
commercial buyers.

The Country Connection uses the newest technologies to save you time in your search by use of a gallery
of photographs, virtual tours, properties database, and the World Wide Web.  This allows you to preview
options and eliminate wasted trips in your search for property for your home or company.  We are constantly
updating our files and the web as new properties are listed and looking for the most desirable properties to
show our clients. 

We are the only Real Estate Office you need in NorthEast Texas.  Let us help you find what you want

whether it is our listings or another Broker's. With our membership in the Greater Dallas (North Texas
Regional)  MLS  we can find an area property to suits your needs, if it is out there.  If we find a suitable
property for you and it is listed by another Broker, we will contact that Broker and set up an appointment
to show you the property.  If we represent you in the purchase of a property, our services are without
cost to you.  Brokers in our area cooperate on sales and the commission paid by the seller would be
shared by the listing and selling Broker.  If you are ready to put us to work finding your country home,

If you do not find anything that suits your needs, you can complete a Buyer Data Form, to help us know
more exactly what you need.   If you needs and price range are within the range available in our area,

including: listings in United Country's
full color nationally circulated catalogs, digital pictures of your
property placed on the webpage as quickly as possible, and videotaping for buyer preview. We also place
advertising in local, Dallas, and suburban newspapers, as well as East Texas Properties.  We have a
number of internet sites where we advertise property including LoopNet for Commercial Properties,
and the Texas Farm and Ranch Magazine website for our ranches.  We are always looking for
