The heartbeat of the house is this bright kitchen and breakfast room. The
room has solid vinyl tiles
in hunter green and white with counters also in hunter green. The cabinets
are all custom made
oak from the Wilkerson and Tunnell cabinet shop. The island is 4'X6' with
lots of extra
storage and drawers. There are additional cabinets in the breakfast room
and a wall
of cabinets for a pantry all the way up to the ceiling. The kitchen has
red and green plaid
wallpaper with apple decor. The appliances are stainless steel and include
Frigidaire electric
smooth top range, dishwasher and side by side refrigerator. There is a
kitchen aide disposer
in the double stainless steel sinks and an Emerson combo microwave and
convection
oven over the range to give you a double oven when needed. The ceilings in
the center
of the home are 9' with ceilings in the Great Room and Master Bedroom/sitting
room
at 10'. There is a large florescent lighting fixture over the island and
under-
cabinet lighting on the other counter areas.

On the other side of the entry (from the dining room) is the 2nd living area.
It was designed
as the Formal Living area, but we chose to make it a Library. We had
Wilkerson and
Tunnell build us custom cabinets at one end and frame out the windows and
moldings
in the same oak cabinet material to make it a very large Library/Home office.
Like the dining room it has lots of diffused light from the front covered porch.

Across the hall from the Library is the second bedroom downstairs, which we
chose to make into a study. Again, we had Wilkerson and Tunnell build
a corner computer desk and storage cabinets we designed for use in this room.
The room also has French Doors out to the covered porch out back. The
nautical
theme of the study is carried next door to the full bath in the hall.

This view from the end of the hall looks into the sitting room and the master
bedroom. The sitting room
has a tiled 3 sided glass fireplace which separates the two rooms. The
master is 2 steps down
from the sitting room. See more pictures of this sitting room on the next
page.
