Information on Safari Waters Ranch, Athens, TX

Safari Waters is a gated, restricted (deed, building) community.  The area is 1776 acres with high fences to share with the free roaming wildlife and waterfowl.  Common areas include wildlife viewing areas and parks, picnic tables and fishing pier.  Streets are paved, and utilities are available. 

Other amenities are a Fish Hatchery, an on-call veterinarian for wildlife, an RV area, and gated security.  Currently, there is a campsite area that is strictly for the use of the owner’s guests.  Although horses are not allowed within Safari Waters because of the onsite wildlife, stables are available at the nearby Champion Ranch, and for a minimal fee ($395), a full membership at Champion Ranch can be purchased by members of Safari Waters.  Contact the Athens office of Safari Waters Ranch for additional information.

Safari Waters Ranch is conveniently located just outside Athens City Limits, and your children may attend school in either the Athens ISD or LaPoyner ISD.  Safari Waters Ranch is located 6.1 miles east of Loop7 off SH 175E.   Exotics and native game share this wonderland with their human neighbors in pristine environment in the Pineywoods of East Texas.

Dues on waterfront lots are $1,000 annually. Dues on interior lots are $695
